A space in which to explore how to live well (together)
Secular priest was a social experiment led by Niki Harré from the University of Auckland. It investigated if, and how, it is possible to apply some of the insights and practices from religion in a secular context. Here is more on the background to the project which took place from February 2021 to February 2022.
It had three public elements: services, personal conversations and ceremonies. You can find out more about these below. Podcast versions of the provocations (short talks) from services can be found here.
Niki’s TEDx talk on The Practice of Love, can be found here.
Services
Services included a short talk (provocation), music, and the opportunity for personal reflection and conversation.
Podcast versions of the provocations are here.
